Spider-Man has been setup by the Kingpin. Who has planted bombs around the city and blamed it on the Webslinger. Now Spidey has to race against the clock to find the keys to disable the bombs and clear his name. Unfortunately for Spider-Man the Kingpin has hired some nasty villains to stand in the way.
I was almost able to complete this one, but I just ran out of time this weekend. At first I struggled with Spider-Man's clunky controls and the hit detection, but when I started to get hang of them I was web slinging with ease.
I was able to make it to the Central Park stage, but I just couldn't get past the damn Gorilla. I couldn't get close enough to hit him without taking a bunch of damage and had to call it quits after he kicked my ass for the tenth time. Come on, I mean Doc Ock, The Lizard, and Electro were easier to take down than the F-ing Gorilla. Also it would have been nicer to have more of a variety of enemies in the stages. It got really monotonous beating down the same jamocs again and again.
Spider-Man for the Sega Genesis isn't the worst game out there, but it's also not gonna be on any best of list. Beating this game is diffidently obtainable but just not this weekend.
